If you want to keep energy costs down this festive season, consider investing in insulation window film, which can do an awful lot to help keep the heat in your home – and your bills down as a result.
New research from MoneySuperMarket has revealed that 21 per cent of Brits are actually concerned about additional energy costs this Christmas, with 2.4 million unsure about how they will cover this.
Apparently, just Christmas and Boxing Day alone will cost people an extra £75 million – but there are ways you can keep bills to a minimum. For example, consider turning the thermostat down, putting on an extra jumper or snuggling up in a blanket, using the oven efficiently, washing clothes at 30 degrees and turning off games consoles and TVs, rather than leaving them on standby.
“It’s easy to get lost in the festivities on Christmas Day and forget about the associated costs of using household appliances. But unfortunately it all adds up. Over half of us will be spending Christmas and Boxing Day at home and will then face inflated energy bills come January, leaving many out of pocket and a large number of us worried about our finances,” energy expert with the price comparison site Stephen Murray said.
By investing in window film, you can reduce your heating bills, decrease your carbon footprint and still stay warm in the winter. Have a look on the Solartek Films site to see what products we have available and what would best suit you. For further help and advice, get in touch.
